Amazing stay in Budapest!
We wanted to say thank you to Downtown Apartments for an amazing stay in Budapest!
We stayed in the Akáfca utca 18 apartment - it is beautiful, fully equipped with everything you could need (even a toaster and a coffee machine!), and is in a great location with lots of places nearby.
The whole communication process from moving in and signing the contract to checking out was absolutely smooth and friendly. Downtown apartments was always very responsive to all our requests and immediately sent someone to make sure the apartment was in perfect condition.
We loved Budapest, and would be happy to come back and stay in Downtown Apartments again. And a HUGE thank you to our manager, Zsanett Kovacs! Thank you for your attentiveness and professionalism. We don’t know who else could be so helpful with all our questions!

Amazing time in this flat!
We rented the flat Bathory Utca 22. We had an amazing time in this flat.
First of all, the location of the flat is perfect. It is very central. The parliament is only 10min walk away, as is the basilica. If you don’t feel like walking, the flat is easily accessible by public transport. The bus stops 3 min from here. But also the tram, metro and train are not far. Even night buses stop very close to the flat. Despite being so central, it is situated in a beautiful, calm area. We had no night noises.
The flat itself is very pretty and well designed. As Erasmus students we just had to unpack our suitcases and that’s it. Everything we needed for living, from towels, to pans, to cups, to bedsheets… were already there. We even had an orange juice presser. The rooms are spacious. The common living room is amazing and very cosy. We spent a lot of evenings cooking, watching movies or just talking together here.
The landlady, Zsanett, is very kind. As soon as you notice a problem, you just have to send a picture and it is fixed as soon as possible. She really made sure that we felt at home in this flat.
We would definitely rent this flat again.

Very spacious and perfectly located
I have really enjoyed renting an apartment from 'Downtown Apartments'. Communication accross every step of the procedure was very easy and our landlord (Zsanett) was always ready to help. For our arrival and departure we could freely chose when to arrive and leave which is crucial when you come from further away.
The apartment itself was also great! Very spacious and perfectly located. All the necessary materials were provided. Overall, I have really enjoyed my stay in the 'downtown apartment' and I would recommend it to every Erasmus student!

Smoothest ever!
My experience with Downtown Apartments was by far the smoothest I've ever had with a rental agency. I realised this from my initial emails with Gabor, where I was unsure about which room to choose. He responded within minutes and provided detailed information that was very helpful.
Throughout my five-month stay at Akafca 43, everything went smoothly — from communication with Szabina, our property manager, to the overall experience in the appartment. The room met my exact expectations, the cleaning service was very good, and whenever there was a technical issue in the apartment, Szabina was quick to respond and arranged for repairs the very next day. She was always accessible via email and WhatsApp and provided exceptional support, which was especially valuable in an international house.
I highly recommend renting through this agency and working with Szabina, Gabor, and the entire team. If you're moving to Budapest, Downtown Apartments is the way to go. They have great room choices and a wonderful service.

Helpful and responsive
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience! The apartment was very nice and I had no complaints. In addition, our property manager, Szabina Friedrich, was very helpful and responsive which made the overall experience very positive!
When there were problems with the apartment or rooms, she was always ready to send someone over or to even come over personally. Finally, she was very kind en supportive since I accidentally forgot to pay my rent in time, she made the effort to make sure I did not get the fine.
Sometimes I even felt bad for asking her so much stuff or blast her with questions but she always made sure everything was settled in a fast way whilst being super friendly and kind! I wish everyone from the team all the best!

Fast and clear
My experience with Downtown Apartments was the best since I booked the apartment. In the website all the information were clearly written for us student from the booking part to the rent payment.
Also, during my stay in the apartment, Szabina was always available for us. All the problems we took to her were immediately resolved, as for the key problem we had and the washing machine.

Serious and honest company
I really don't have nothing bad to say about your work, or about the company. Me and the girls talked a lot of times about this: we were so lucky to rent the rooms with a serious and honest company as Downtown Apartments.
We always received help when needed, and also really quickly! For example, when the door lock broke, the handyman arrived in 1 or 2 days, and he fixed it immediately. You were always avalaible to answer all our questions. You were always so kind to us, and ready to help in any way.
We heard a lot of stories about landlords or companies that don't work in an honest way, so we are really thankful to have had a positive experience, and I would recommend Downtown Apartments to everyone asking.
